School Aims

The headline statement from our 2002 OFSTED inspection report read:

‘The quality of education provided is good and the pupils respond positively to their teachers and work hard. The provision for the pupils’ personal development is strong and relationships throughout the school and its wider community are extremely positive.’

St. James School is a Church of England Primary School which aims to provide a secure and caring environment in which the children can grow in understanding and knowledge of themselves and the world around them.

We aim to provide:

A broad curriculum in which all children can achieve success.

A differentiated curriculum that provides teaching appropriate to the needs of each child.

A clear understanding of moral and social behaviour.

A school that helps all children feel good about themselves.
